April Mummys!

Question:

hiya everyone! how are you all getting on with your little bundles? what sort of feed/sleep patterns do you have at the mo? xx
Answers:
hey emma! how's it going?
Milly is lovely - she's knows what night time is, and tends to go 3 hours or so between feeds after about 8pm. during the day is more hit and miss - sometimes I feel like a milk cow lol. Isaac is doing brilliantly - helped me bath her today (I say 'helped', was more like 'threw in cotton wool balls' hehe). He's really good at being gentle with baby, and touch wood, no nasty accidents so far! My bloomin' pelvic pain hasn't gone away though, which is a nightmare. Its a lot better than it was, but on the left I can still feel bone grinding on bone which was the first thing to go back last September, so I shouldn't be surprised. Ah well, got a physio appt in a couple of weeks, might sort it!
hello to all the other April mummies - hope you're all doing well and enjoying babies!!
Anna

Tis lovely to be home at last but did anyone else wake up after the first night home with a sense of relief they hadnt done anything wrong and broken the baby overnight

Hellooooo
Shaun has finally gone from hourly feeds to 2 hourly feeds so I`m feeling a tiny bit more human, might even get around to birth story and pics lol
I`m sort of feeling ok would be miles better without high bp, elephant feet, achey pelvis and shocking after pains
Shaun is fab though and am loving being his mummy
Welcome to the april mummies Maori I was impressed the next morning that I had woken up for his feeds and not slept the whole night through Its easy waking up in hospital because you don`t sleep properly but your own bed is different

Congrats to everyone I've missed who has had their baby! How about adding some photos to this thread?
We are doing a lot better now. Still got some pain from episiotomy and bruising but every day is an improvement.
Lucy usually sleeps from 11pm til 4am then til about 7.30. In the morning and evenings she feeds every hour at times, seems to top up the tank for night time! During the day she sleeps from about 11am til 4pm as well so I am having a pretty easy time of it with MUCH more sleep than when I was pregnant!
I am finding breast feeding really easy and glad to have finally found a good use for the enormous lumps I've disliked all my adult life!

my lil one wakes every 2 hours in the night for feeds but can sleep up to 4 hours during the day!
really annoying - does this get easier??
Answers:
Hi Toria
Yes it does get easier, its just the first couple of weeks that are the killer
Shaun is every 2 hours, by the time i`ve fed him, winded him and changed him I`m getting about an hours sleep at a time roll on when he goes to 3 hours
Corrie will try to sort some pics out, think i`m going to cheat and email them from phone to pc, got an iphone and its a pain because it won`t bluetooth like other phones and itunes is being a big fat pain

hi april mums where did april go into may already how do the weeks drag when you are pregnant and then when little one arrives they fly!!
i am bottle feeding as wee man had tongue tie so he would struggle plus he was wee when born so it was straight onto bottle but on plus side he sleeps well between feeds and normally feeds every 3-4 hours so i cant complain getting enough sleep!!
