My DS has awful trouble with formula since he was two months old. He was absolutely find up to 8 weeks. We've changed from Aptimal to C&G Comfort to SMA LF to Nutramigen and back to Aptimal. Every single time we change he's fine for about a week and then he starts fighting all his bottles again. We changed him last week and he was fine for about a week again and now we're back to square one.
He fights his bottle but puts his hands out for it when you take it away from him. Then you give it back to him, he takes about two sips from it and he fights it again. He takes solids absolutely no problem at all. Today I've given him three solid meals because he will not drink the milk. He won't drink water. We've given him a bit of boiled 7up and he's taken that.
He's been on Nutramigen so he's not allergic to cows milk protein or anything like that.
I don't know what to do. He seems much happier all day today because he hasn't really had any milk. My mom, who has had four of us, says she's never seen anything like it.

Have you tried using a thickener in his bottles?I would suggest Carobel.Its about €5 for a box,is worth a try and will do no harm if it doesn't work.I have used it with a few babies.Having said that,my youngest DD never was a great feeder and once she started I gave up on them altogether and she was about your DS age.

There is a formula which is even more broken down than the Nutraigem (can't spell that sorry).Its called Neocate, might be worth a try?

Mini I had tried gaviscon but it made him constipated so will buy some of that stuff tomorrow. So you stopped giving your dd bottles around 5 months. I was wondering today how much I had to give him. My problem is since all this bottle and tummy stuff started he is a disasterous sleeper. I don't know now tonight if he wakes is he hungry cuz he hasn't had bottles today even though he's had four bowls of food or does he have a pain or wind or is he just waking for the sake of it! Is four meals a day enough for him?
Baby - dps nephew is on neocate alright I had considered changing to it.
