Buying P&T from twolittlefeet.co.uk

Question:

I am thinking of buying the P&T over the internet from this company, just wondering as I have never really bought anything like this from the net, has anyone ever had any problems with doing this, ie delivery, getting the right product etc.
Any replies appreciated
Regards
Karen

I bought my phil and ted from this company about 2 years ago
Delivery was pretty prompt, I think 5 days and had no problems with it. They were also the cheapest at the time they werent available in Ireland

Is it two left feet.co.uk you are talking about.

Hiya Karen - I think it must be 2leftfeet you mean? I bought a big Graco three-wheeler system from them in August 2002 for first son (couldn't get it in Ireland), and thought the customer service was brilliant. I placed the order on a Saturday evening, they phoned me on Sunday to confirm it, and I had it within a week. Plus they charged me just £20 sterling delivery - that included a car seat and an autobase (three-part system). BUT! Wanted to get a cushion set for my Tripp Trapp a fortnight ago, and they quoted me £20 sterling to deliver the one item - a very lightweight item . So check if they have a policy of £20 per delivery (fine if it's a big item) or if it depends on weight... I declined their offer and went with lullabys.co.uk this time. A lot of UK companies are a bit funny when it comes to overseas delivery charges to Ireland - you don't mind paying the odds for a heavy item, but just make sure you're not being way overcharged. Couldn't fault the customer service or delivery times of either company. And if you're sure of the product, have tried it out here or have your heart set on it and can't get it here, then I'm all for taking the risk of buying online. You can always check the product on the manufacturer's website, or read around for customer reviews. Good luck! Linda.

Thanks girls for your replies, yes it was two left feet i was talking about, and looking at the complaints on the other boards I think I'll pass on ordering my Phil and Teds.
Might just get it in Galway and pay a little bit more for it, instead of bringing hassle on myself.
Thanks again

Hope I didn't put you off Karen The MDF came on to one of those threads and seemed to be trying to set things right. I had seen the complaints though so didn't want not to tell you. Sorry

Holly you didnt really put me off, I was half thinking of just buying it on Irish soil anyway, i'm not really confident in ordering online as I was badly stung a few years ago with maternity clothes that I sent back and never got a refund as the company went bust
Thanks

wanted to check that out before I posted this. My friend in England is currently helping a watchdog programme (uk consumer type programme) in an investigation on them. Just thought you should know.

HI KarenL,
have no experience of twolittlefeet but I bought a P&T online from jogging stroller.com. They only deliver within US but my DH was there on business and they delivered it for free to his hotel 2 days after ordering it! It so much cheaper to get it in U.S if at all possible.
When I was looking for a supplier online to ship to Ireland, I did come accross a number of suppliers who do but as DH was going there himself, I didn't follow up on them. I remember it being still a lot cheaper to buy online and have it shipped than buy here.
good luck with it!

Received my P&T e3 (with toddler set, cocoon, stormcover, pannier bags buggy bunny) today.
When I was paying I was told it was out of stock, but would be in stock and delivered within 2 weeks.
Fairplay, to Twoleftfeet - I was notified by email to alert me that the consignment was shipped and it was delivered by courier company the following day .
Delighted with myself - as the order is present and correct. Had a test drive to the shops with DD today and she seemed to loved it. So all things being equal, I've saved myself over €100 buying online, and didn't even have to leave home to collect .
Thought it might be useful for others considering buying online . This was my first "Big Buy", normally it's CDs or books or maybe the odd iPod accessory !
