ds3 caught the e-coli bug

.....from where we dont know. we are at last home after nearly 3 days in hospital. He was so so sick. Poor baby! Totally dehydrated, wheezing, diarrhea, floppy and his bum was covered in really bad nappy rash. We're all exhausted. TG he is so much better, off the drip and home with us. Scary times

Poor fella they must have been worrying for awhile that there would be a huge influx of kids with E-coli . I hope he is on the mend now its a awful illness

there was a panic. I have had them in Kilkenny where the sample was sent to questioning me and in WRH too. It has to be registered now

Yes it is a notifiable illness so a little panic . If you had eaten out somewhere or he had been in a crèche there would have been investigations etc and warning to other kids . I would say it was a scary experience
